HEMP FOOD
Cold-pressed hemp seed oil
has a mild nutty, green flavor. The oil produced at Milky Way Farm is
high-quality and always freshly made. It is perfect for adding directly
to salads, smoothies, soups and other finished dishes. Excellent in
guacamole, hummus or garlic oil.
Hemp oil is not suitable for frying at high temperatures,
as its beneficial compounds break down above 150°C. It can, however, be
used in baking. It is also wonderful for external use as a skin oil or
for oil pulling in the mouth. Hemp seed oil contains omega-3, -6 and -9
fatty acids, amino acids such as GLA, and is naturally rich in vitamin
E. Its dark color comes from carotene and chlorophyll. Store in a cool,
dark place.
Hemp seeds are excellent eaten as they are or added to porridge, yogurt or smoothies. The protein in hemp seeds contains all essential amino acids. It consists of 65% edestin and 35% albumin—both high-quality proteins that are easily absorbed. The seeds can also be soaked or sprouted, which further increases their nutritional value. They work well in cooking and baking. No allergies to hemp seeds have been reported. Store in a dry, cool place away from sunlight.
Hemp meal is rich in high-quality protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and phytosterols. It is produced as a by-product of cold-pressing hemp seeds for oil. Cold pressing is a gentle, natural method where no heat or chemicals are used. Hemp meal is excellent for baking, cooking or adding to porridge, yogurt or fermented milk products. Store in a dry, cool place.

Hemp Oil Skin Creams
Produced at Milky Way Farm from our own hemp seed oil and Finnish beeswax. Hemp oil is excellent for moisturizing, nourishing and renewing dry or rough skin. It is naturally rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant.
Hemp–Spruce Resin Salve
A highly effective traditional remedy for wounds, chafing and calluses.
Spruce resin has been known for centuries to kill bacteria and fungi.
The scent is fresh and reminiscent of the forest.
Hemp Deodorant
A gentle deodorant made only from natural ingredients, suitable for
sensitive skin. Hemp oil's antibacterial properties and nourishing fats
care for the skin, while potato starch and cosmetic clay keep the
underarms dry. Baking soda neutralizes odors, and essential oils
(lemongrass, juniper or rose) provide a fresh scent. Also available
unscented.
NEW – Rose Hemp Face Cream
A softly moisturizing blend of high-quality ingredients. Rose soothes
and supports mature skin, while hemp oil hydrates and its natural
vitamin E acts as an antioxidant. The cream brightens and moisturizes
without clogging pores.

ALPACA WOOL, YARN & ACCESSORIES
Our alpacas are shorn once a year, usually in late May. After shearing, they look delightfully silly in their summer coats! Each alpaca produces 3–5 kg of raw fleece. The fiber is hand-cleaned and sent to a spinning mill. Alpaca fiber is extremely fine with a natural crimp, making it luxuriously soft, warm and non-itchy. It also contains no lanolin, making it suitable for many wool-sensitive people.
Alpaca yarn is a pleasure to knit — it glides smoothly on the needles and results in long-lasting, eco-friendly garments.
Care: Airing is usually enough. For stain removal, hand wash at 30°C and dry flat.

ALPACA WALKING EXPERIENCES
We offer alpaca walks year-round for individuals and groups. During a 2–3 hour visit, guests meet the animals, hear stories about their lives, feed them, and take them on a forest walk of about 2 km. In summer, you can also try alpaca agility in the yard!

Visitors may bring their own snacks; there is a campfire area available in winter. In Sateen Tupa you can buy café products, and full catering can be arranged on request. At the end of the visit, we introduce the farm's products: hemp food items, natural cosmetics and alpaca wool textiles.

We also take our alpacas to markets, events, gatherings and care homes. Our goal is to bring alpacas closer to people and share knowledge about their lives, care and the beautiful fiber they produce. Alpacas brighten the day of many passersby — and that's exactly why we do these visits.
Our visiting alpacas are accustomed to crowds, and their wellbeing always comes first.
